A 40-year-old man died and his wife is in a serious condition in hospital as a result of burning a wood stove in their home without adequate ventilation.
The incident occurred in Baena, Córdoba. Poor ventilation led to the couple being poisoned by fumes from the fire. The woman is in a serious condition in the ICU at the Infanta Margarita hospital in Cabra.
