The national Police have released two men held captive in La Rinconada, Sevilla, over a €100,000 drug debt and have arrested five people.
The two men were kidnapped after a drug deal worth €90,000 went pear-shaped, a third party related to the victims hijacking the hashish and disappearing to France.
The gang decided to kidnap the two men and demand €100,000 payment, the €90,000 value of the drugs lost plus €10,000 interest.
In the raid by teams from the Special Operations Group (GEO ) and the Special Security Task Force (GOES ), officers seized a number of guns and ammunition. The victims had suffered injuries as a result of numerous beatings.
