Luis Aragones dies at the age of 75 years

Former national team coach Luis Aragones has died in Madrid at the age of 75 years. Aragones led Spain to their first major international in the 2008 European Championships.

Aragones also managed several of Spain’s top clubs, including Barcelona and Atletico Madrid where he won the La Liga title in 1977.

As a player, Aragones scored 172 goals in 372 appearances for Atlético Madrid and represented his country on 13 occasions.
