The Bar Association of Málaga is expected to sign an agreement with the City Council and the Association of Lawyers of Victims of Traffic Accidents in order to avoid paying the new tax for obtaining official documents, at least on one day per week.
The idea is that the lawyers will be able to consult official documents, a maximum of two per lawyer, from 09:00 to 14:00 one day per week. Should they need copies then they will have to pay.
The new tax on consulting official police reports, which was agreed in 2012 but only comes into effect on February 15th 2014, means that obtaining official reports will incur a new charge of €20.44.
