Gareth Bale scored from 25 metres as Real Madrid defeated Elche to move three points clear at the top of La Liga pending the rest of the weekend games.
It was Bale’s 12th goal in 24 games. Asier Illarramendi gave Real the lead with a deflected shot in the first half and midfielder Isco slotted in the third goal nine minutes from time.
