Members of the Mountain Rescue Group from Ubrique, Cádiz province, rescued ten hikers on Friday night, the oldest being 81 years, after they got lost while covering the route Grazalema – Pico Simancón – Charca Verde.
The group of hikers, whose ages ranged from 44 to 81 years, were located on Friday evening near Sardela Farm in Benaocaz. The elderly man was suffering from exhaustion but was otherwise fine.
The rescue mission began at 19:32 on Friday evening and ended at 01:00 on Saturday morning when the hikers arrived safely in Ubrique.
