Two people have been arrested by the Guardia Civil in Alhaurin el Grande after a failed attempt to burn their marijuana crop before the arrival of the police.
The two, JBS and RG, set fire to a warehouse in an attempt to destroy their marijuana plantation as the police closed in, but failed. Inside the warehouse was a sophisticated greenhouse for the planting, growing and drying of the drug and hidden amongst the plants was a gun and ammunition.
A total of 253 marijuana plants were seized in the raid. One police officer was overcome by the fumes of the burning plants and needed treatment at the local Health Centre.
