National Police officers have arrested two people, aged 25 and 31 years, for allegedly attempting to steal 150 kilos of avocados from a farm in the municipality of Vélez-Málaga.
A farmer reported hearing the noise of fruit being pulled from the trees and notified the police who found the two men in the area. Although there were no avocados in their vehicle, there were sacks of fruit ready to be removed.
One of the detainees has a history of property theft.
