National Police officers have arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of several counts of fraud and forgery by driving off from petrol stations without paying.
The individual used various false number plates and would pull into petrol stations throughout Málaga and Sevilla provinces, filled up with petrol and then drove off without paying.
Police were able to determine that the plates used didn’t match the model of car, which was always the same. In addition, the car had very distinctive wheels and spoiler, making it relatively simple to trace.
The driver was located, arrested and charged with the alleged crimes of fraud and forgery.
