The president of Andalucia, Susana Diaz (PSOE) has signed a decree, published in the Official Gazette (BOJA, which strips the IU controlled Ministry of Public Works and Housing of the powers and functions relating to the allocation of social housing in public ownership.
The decision follows the decision of the Ministry to rehouse several families evicted from their homes in La Utopia, Sevilla, in public and private social dwellings.
Diaz is reported to have made the decision ‘in order to ensure the maximum effectiveness of administrative action for the development of the political programme of the government’.
