The National Police has opened an investigation into the burning of a number of rubbish containers in Torre del Mar during the past week.
The most recent event took place at around 02:30 on Wednesday morning in calle del Rio. Flames affected several containers and could have damaged two cars parked nearby but for the prompt intervention of the fire service.
Last Saturday morning, three containers were set on fire in calle del Mar, causing damage to one vehicle and several building facades.
On February 22nd, several containers, a vehicle and a road sign in calle San Martin were damaged by fire and on February 26th, seven containers and three vehicles were damaged by fire in calle Rio Tinto in Vélez-Málaga.
