The Guardia Civil have arrested a man in Fuengirola in connection with the death of a person who was gutted to extract the drugs he was carrying in his stomach.
The body of the middle-aged man was naked, wrapped in towels and with a plastic bag over his head. The man had been gutted and sewn up afterwards with fishing wire. The body was found four years ago by a couple out for a walk near Ojén.
Police believe the man was probably a ‘mule’ carrying cocaine inside his stomach and that the gruesome crime was committed elsewhere. Police are hoping the arrest will shed more light on the case.
