Police are investigating the death of a minor in Sabiote who suffered a fatal gunshot wound, early indications being that the incident was an accident.
A 15-year-old, who allegedly fired the fatal shot, is currently in the custody of the Guardia Civil. Early indications suggest that the incident could have been an accident which occurred while the two youths were handling the weapon, a small calibre rifle.
Despite the speed at which the victim was moved to the nearest hospital, close to San Juan de la Cruz in Úbeda, medical staff were unable to save his life and he died just before entering the hospital.
