Maritime Rescue have intercepted a boat carrying 24 sub-Saharan migrants, including a pregnant woman and three babies, in the Strait of Gibraltar as they tried to sneak into mainland Spain.
The authorities received a call from a mobile phone on the mainland to alert them to the attempt. The boat was intercepted about half a mile from Lentiscal beach in Bolonia, Tarifa, and the passengers transferred to the port of Tarifa.
All the passengers are apparently in good health.
