Campillos now has a heliport

Campillos has become the latest town in Málaga province to have a heliport for use by the 061 Emergency Services, part of a project being carried out by the Ministry of Equality, Health and Social Polices of the Junta de Andalucia using European funding.

Campillos is the second of five proposed heliports to be built in the province, the first having been constructed in Nerja. The Junta de Andalucia has €6.3 million of European funding (FEDER) to build heliports in the whole of the region.

This latest heliport, accessed from the A-348 at calle Isaac Pera in Campillos cost €48,745. Three more heliports are planned in Málaga province, in Alozaina, Coín and Vélez-Málaga at a total cost of €300,000.
