Campillos has become the latest town in Málaga province to have a heliport for use by the 061 Emergency Services, part of a project being carried out by the Ministry of Equality, Health and Social Polices of the Junta de Andalucia using European funding.

Father and daughter found dead in Campillos
The body of a man and his six year old daughter were found on Monday morning at a house in calle Claveles in the Las Flores district of Campillos, Málaga. In December, the man was sentenced to six months in prison for domestic violence but the sentence was suspended.
Prison for driver involved in fatal accident
The 21 year old driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal collision with two cyclists from the Ronda Cycling Club on Sunday has been charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol. A judge in Antequera ordered the accused to be sent to prison with bail set at €50,000.

The 21 year old driver of the vehicle involved in a head-on collision which claimed the lives of two cyclists in Campillos on Sunday has been arrested after being found to be over the maximum alcohol limit.
Two cyclists killed in collision near Campillos
Two cyclists died on Sunday morning after being hit by a car at km 108,800 on the A-384 between Antequera and Campillos. The incident occurred at 11:30. A third person was injured in the incident.
Body of missing man found in Campillos
The body of a 69 year old Englishman missing since the weekend in Campillos, Málaga province, has been found in a ditch at km 12 on the A-7286 in the municipality. The body was found on Monday evening. The cause of death is not yet known.
Summer sports in Campillos
Campillos has launched its annual summer street sports programme which takes place in the José María Hinojosa park and includes the XVII Torneo Local de Fútbol 3×3, the XVII Torneo Local de Baloncesto 3×3 and the XVII Torneo Local de ‘Futvoley’. Registration for events is free and can be done at the Sports Centre.
Rural roads repaired around Campillos
A total of 14 kilometres of rural roads around Campillos have now been repaired, these including 5 km on the way to Lobón, 2 km between Campillos and Fuente de Piedra, 1 km between Campillos and Osuna, 1 km of the camino del Baño Castillo and 5 km of the camino Vallehermoso.
