Honda’s Marc Marquez won his 10th MotoGP race in a row at Indianapolis to equal Mick Doohan’s 1997 record.
Marquez started on pole but dropped to fifth place after the first corner, Valentino Rossi taking the lead after surging through from the second row.
However, 21-year-old Marquez fought his way back to the front to clinch yet another victory. Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo was second and team-mate Valentino Rossi finished third.
