A 71-year-old man and his 42-year-old daughter died on Sunday after being stabbed while they were on the beach in Laredo, Cantabria.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when a man, a native of Bilbao, stabbed the two people while they were on the beach. The man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The woman died on the beach, the man died a short while later at the Marqués de Valdecilla hospital in Santander. The killing is not thought to be a case of domestic violence.
