A forest fire which began on Sunday evening near Tarifa, Cádiz province, has been stabilised.
The fire originated in the Matamoros area of Punta Canales and necessitated the evacuation of around fifty people from various farms and rural houses as a precautionary measure.
The blaze was brought under control at 10:00 on Monday morning.
