The National Police have arrested two people and seized 1.7 tons of hashish in the latest drugs operation carried out in La Linea de la Concepción, Cádiz province.
Police learned that a shipment of drugs was arriving at Levante beach and would be transferred to a house in the El Zabal district of La Linea. Following the police investigation, a 42-year-old woman was arrested at the house containing the 56 bundles of hashish weighing 1.736 tons.
Four vehicles, thought to have been used to transport the drugs, were also seized and a 69-year-old man was also subsequently arrested. Further arrests have not been ruled out as the investigation remains open.
