Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has been given an eight-match ban for his behaviour in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup.
Simeone patted the fourth official on the back of the head after a heated exchange during Atletico’s 2-1 aggregate win over Real Madrid and this gained him a four-match ban from the the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
He was banned for a further two games for protesting plus one each for applauding a red card and not leaving the ground.
