A 20-year-old girl who accused five youths, two of them minors, of raping her during the Málaga Feria has told the judge at the Court of Instruction Number 2 that the accusation was false.
The youths are pursuing legal action against the girl as they were arrested and had to spend a night in the cells as a result of the false allegations.
The case was originally thrown out when several local stallholders testified that the sex was consensual and not rape and when a video recorded by one of the youths emerged and also showed that the sex was consensual.
The girl was apparently afraid that the video would be publicised so made up the rape story. She apologised for lying about the incident.
