A paraglider was seriously injured on Sunday after crashing onto the beach in La Herradura, Granada province.
The incident, the exact causes of which are currently unknown, occurred at around 16:00 on Sunday afternoon. The man suffered a severe blow to the head and was airlifted to hospital in Granada. People at the beach tended the man until the Emergency Services arrived on the scene.
Strong winds are thought to have been a contributory factor in the accident.
