Málaga Council getting tough with bars and restaurants

Málaga Council is planning to convene a ‘more serious’ meeting with bar and restaurant owners in the centre of the city to convey an ultimatum relating to the occupancy of public thoroughfares, noise levels and general cleanliness.

Businesses were encouraged to comply with municipal ordinances and if they are in breach, heavier penalties will be applied for infringements.

A new development plan for the historic centre of the city sees the extension of the current boundaries to include the Paseo de Reding and the districts of Victoria, la Goleta and Capuchinos. Under the new plan, limits are being imposed on the implementation of hospitality facilities in certain enclaves in the heart of the city.
