Yet another record for Messi

Another record for the master as Lionel Messi becomes the Champions League all-time top scorer with a hat-trick against Apoel Nicosia.

Suarez opened the scoring before Messi grabbed three to make the final result 0-4. Going into the game, Messi was level with Real Madrid legend Raúl on 71 goals in the competition but it didn’t take him too long to move ahead, and then further ahead.

San José scored the only goal of the match against Shakhtar Donetsk as Athletic Bilbao moved off the bottom of Group H.
