The Minister for Equality, Health and Social Policies of the Junta de Andalucía, María José Sánchez, has visited Ronda to look at the restarted works on the new hospital, the project having been at a standstill for quite some time.
The Minister also announced that another €7 million has been made available to finish the project, bringing the total cost to €48.5 million. The new facility is designed to replace the current District Hospital and, according to the Minister, is currently 75% completed will be finished in 2015.
However, the Minister was unable to say when the new hospital might actually become operational.
