Car plunges into ravine

Firefighters had to rescue a 70-year-old foreign national after his car left the road and plunged forty metres down a ravine in Torrox.

The incident occurred at km 12,500 on the A-7207 in Torrox at what is said to be the only area without a guard rail at the side of the road.

The car left the road and then plunged around 40 metres down a ravine, coming to a stop when a tree intervened. The driver is now in hospital in Vélez-Málaga.
