The cost of train tickets for the commuter trains, middle-distance, Avant and Feve will rise by an average of 1.85% as from January 2015, according to the rail network operator RENFE.
The increase of 1.85% is the lowest rise in prices, to give it positive spin, since 2007.
Between 2007 and 2011 the increases ranged from 3.1% to 6.28%, in 2012 it was 10.9%, in 2013 it was 3% and in 2014 the increase was 1.9%.
The increases only cover networks which are the responsibility of the Central Government, therefore do not include services in Cataluña.
