The Council is once again requesting the Junta de Andalucia to hand over the €534.612.26 funding for the new Fire Station, the umpteenth such request.
In the meantime, the Málaga Provincial Council (€700,000) and Nerja Council (€534.612.26) are co-funding the project in order to finally get things started.
The motion to put in the request to the Junta de Andalucia was approved with the votes of the PP and IU (how things have changed since the PSOE-IU pact collapsed).
The Fire Station project dates back to 2007, with the land having been made available in 2008.
