A 24-year-old man died on Saturday after an off-piste snowboarding excursion at the Sierra Nevada ski station.
The man went missing just after 19:00 on Saturday while snowboarding in the Rio area of the resort. His six companions searched for him for around two hours but without success.
The body of the man was found at 23:30 about 5 metres off the normal piste. He had suffered a fatal blow to the head.
