The weekend saw the official launch of CF Veteranos Nerja with a match against Veteranos Real Netis Balompié.
Before the match, two veterans of the Nerja football scene, Pepe Luis Bobadilla and Paco Navas were presented with plaques of appreciation and a shirt from the sponsoring company, Cafeteria Plaza.
Paco Navas also kicked off the match which ended in a 1-3 win for the visitors. CF Veteranos Nerja, formed in 2011 but inactive much of the time, has twenty-eight players over the age of 33 years, all earlier federated in various Nerja teams.
