Local swimmer Paola González Martín collected two medals at the Winter Swimming Championships held at the municipal pool in Torre del Mar at the weekend.
Paola won silver in the 100 metres butterfly and bronze in the 100 metres freestyle, these results making her eligible to compete in the Spanish National Championships in July of this year.
The event brought together 380 of the best swimmers in Andalucia in the ‘Alevin’ category, 219 boys and 261 girls.
In addition to picking up two medals, Paola also managed a fourth place in the 50 metres freestyle and seventh place in the 200 metres butterfly. Well done.
