The contract for the construction of the Fire Station in Nerja has been awarded to the company Sando, one of forty-three companies who submitted bids for the project.
The total value of the contract is €1,158,606.29, being a basic of €934,858.29 and agreed improvements amounting to €223,748.00.
A total of 43 companies submitted bids for the contract, although 5 were excluded for various reasons. From the remaining 38 bids, the one from Sando was chosen.
Work on construction of the Fire Station will reportedly begin later this month with a deadline of one year. The financing for the project is being provided by the Málaga Provincial Council and Nerja Council, although both bodies will continue to try and persuade the Junta de Andalucia to honour its commitment to fund the project.
