Police arrest school bullies in Linares

The National Police in Linares, Jaén, have arrested two sixteen-year-old girls for allegedly harassing a fellow pupil over a period of three years through continuous verbal and physical abuse both inside and outside school.

The abuse began with mocking of the attire of the girl but then gradually became harsh verbal abuse which impacted her school performance and led to her always making excuses not to go to school.

The parents then took action and moved their daughter to a new school but the abuse continued via social networks. The alleged bullies subsequently arranged a meeting with their victim, after which they stole a large lock of her hair, photographed it and sent the picture to all her contacts.
