Málaga are through to the group stage of the Champions League after a 0-0 draw in Greece against Panathinaikos, winning 2-0 on aggregate. Very few real chances in a match where, surprisingly, Panathinaikos showed little sense of urgency despite being two goals down from the first leg.

Pedrosa wins in Brno
Honda rider Dani Pedrosa was able to pass title rival Jorge Lorenzo on the final corner to win the Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno, with Lorenzo finishing second and Britain’s Cal Crutchlow in third. It is Pedrosa’s third victory of the season and he has cut Lorenzo’s lead at the top of the standings to just 13 points.
