Residents in Álora have once again been requesting the reconstruction of a bridge destroyed by flood waters in September last year.
Council wants bridge over the rio Seco
The Council is requesting the Department of Coasts to install a footbridge at the western end of El Playazo beach to allow people to cross the rio Seco and access the beach at all times, particularly when the water level in the river rises.
Bridge over A-387 now open
Work on the A-387 between Fuengirola and Mijas is in its final phase and yesterday the bridge over the Arroyo Real, which straddles both municipalities, was reopened, ending a year-long detour through urbanisation El Lagarejo.

New bridge over the rio Genil is open to traffic
The DGT has opened a new bridge over the río Genil on the A-45 Córdoba to Málaga motorway near the town of Benamejí. The new viaduct is 605 metres long and reaches a maximum height of 77 metres.
