Where there’s a will…

With calle Diputación closed to traffic for the next three months, access to the bottom half of calle Granada has been cut. Well, in theory at least.

Nearly finished…

The roadworks in calle Granada look like they are coming to a successful conclusion so the street should be open to through traffic fairly shortly. Strange signs, think they just grabbed whatever was available. The first one is just daft in a closed road, the third makes no sense and the second was redundant for half of the morning.

Restricted traffic flow in calle Granada

Calle Granada is currently closed to through traffic due to roadworks being carried out just above the car park exit. These are not major works and shouldn’t take too long by the looks of it, maybe one more day maximum.

Closing down…

The large ceramics shop in calle Granada (about halfway up/down) is in the final throes of closing, actually ceasing trading on September 30th. Probably get some good bargains – they have all sorts of good stuff in there including plants, not just the ceramics.

Temporary diversion

Calle Granada is closed to through traffic today, Monday, due to roadworks level with the Cultural Centre. Anyone going down calle Diputación is being diverted back down calle El Barrio, the shin-crushers having been moved aside to facilitate this temporary diversion.

Calle Granada and Plaza Cavana

Calle Granada is closed to through traffic as the bottom end near Plaza Cavana has been dug up again as part of the ongoing renovations in the square. Traffic entering calle Diputación from avenida Castilla Perez can only exit via calle El Barrio and back onto avenida Castilla Perez.

About turn…

There are signs up in calle Granada advising no parking due to the upcoming Carnaval procession. As calle Granada is currently closed due to the bottom end being dug up, hope someone hasn’t had the bright idea of leading the procession down there and then trying to back them out! Presumably as the the signs ‘always’ go in calle Granada, …

Calle Granada closed to through traffic

The expanding works in Plaza Cavana mean that the bottom of calle Granada is now closed to traffic. The top part is still accessible from the exit of the underground car park. From calle Diputación it is now possible to access calle El Barrio for those wanting to take the scenic route, although the corner is bumpy and great care …
