Calle Jaén is closed to through traffic due to roadworks, although people are still permitted to access garages. One side of the road has already been dug up, with little bridges in place for the shops and bars. The rubbish bins have also disappeared.

The Councilor for infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé, has been meeting with residents of calle Jaén to discuss the proposed, and upcoming, building work in the street.
