Cooks, carriages, beaches and bars…

Paco Mari on calle Gloria is looking for a ‘cocinero’ if anyone is seeking gainful employment while one of the carriage boys is having a go to see if there are any takers. The space reserved for the carriages is taken up by cars so he is having to improvise.

Frigiliana…

Nerja may no longer have a wall trolley and the carriages may have been removed from their central location, but no so Frigiliana. These new additions to the hillside village are conveniently located in El Ingenio, right next to the bus stop and market.

And then there were more

There were two carriages on duty today down at the Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos and, fortunately for the driver-owners, a few people were availing themselves of the service. The rides still cost €30 per carriage (not per person) and are a great way of touring the town to get your bearings.

Musings…

Sad to see the demise of El Cangrejo after all these years, an excellent tapas bar full of atmosphere. The rumours are that one of the owners did a midnight runner with the cash and stock, something one has always been more accustomed to hearing about in relation to foreign owners of premises.
