The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Chaves, has today proposed the setting up of a working group involving the Junta, the Central Government and owners of beach bars (chiringuitos) to try and resolve the issues surrounding the implementation of the Coastal Law.

The Department of Coasts is planning to initiate the ‘draft technical study’ phase of proceedings relating to the feasibility of placing submerged breakwaters along the Marbella coast to permanently resolve the problem of beach erosion during bad weather.
