Out and About December 31st 2014…

Quite warm in the sun, but bitterly cold in the shade. But warmer outside than inside at the moment, as is usually the case at this time of year.

Feria procession postponed…

A bit of a damp weekend but nice in between showers. Didn’t dampen the Feria spirit too much. The weather did cause the postponement of the Feria Procession which will now take place on Monday from 13:00.

Several fires on a hot day

Suddenly it was a very warm, if not hot day, and there were several fires up in the hills above Nerja and Torrox. Helicopter bucket carriers were kept busy but it meant the fires were brought under control very quickly.

Snow…

Mucho thunder and lightning today, and more than enough rain. And definitely a lot cooler, to say the least. The hills now have a bit of snow on them, particularly Maroma in the distance. Hope it stays fine for the Carnival procession on Saturday and the Burial of the Chanquete on Sunday.

Snowy hills

A reasonable covering of snow on the hills this morning, but not such a cold wind as one might have expected.
