Sales of new cars in July, normally a month of high sales along with June, were down by 17.2% compared to last year and is the worst July on record.

Fall in unemployment for July

According to the ational Employment Institute (INEM), unemployment fell by 20,794 in July, the third consecutive monthly decrease.

Man detained in connection with Almonte fire in July

A 46 year old resident of Rociana del Condado, Huelva, has been arrested in connection with a forest fire on July 27th in the municipality of Almonte and has been charged with recklessly starting a forest fire through the negligent burning of rubble. The fire destroyed roughly one hectare of pine forest in the Alto del Peguero park area near Almonte.
