One cent tax increase on natural gas

The Government intends to introduce a ‘green cent’ surcharge on the price of natural gas in order to reduce the tariff deficit in the electricity sector – so nothing to do with ‘green’, just another tax.

Alhaurin de la Torre and natural gas

A three million euro investment by Gas Natural Andalucía means that around 75% of the population of Alhaurin de la Torre can now opt for the installation of natural gas if they so desire, even in some of the outlying areas.

Price of natural gas to go down

The cost of natural gas is to go down by an average of 1.2% as from October 1st 2010 according to an announcement today by the Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastián. At the moment, the price of electricity is expected to rise by around 4.8%.

July 1st – Price Hike Day

Tomorrow is July 1st and most of us will begin to feel a little poorer as IVA goes up, natural gas prices go up and the price of butane gas bottles also increases. Electricity prices are not going up tomorrow, but it won’t be long.

Gas prices rise

The price of butane and natural gas, the most common fuels in Spanish homes, rise by 5.75% and 4.1% respectively as from today.

Natural gas prices go down on Sunday

The price of natural gas for domestic consumers goes down by, on average, 10.78% as from next Sunday, April 12th. This is the equivalent of a €4.64 reduction on the average monthly gas bill. Earlier this month, the price of a butane gas bottle was reduced by €3.00 to €10.50.

Gas prices down, bus fares up

Today, April 1st, sees the price of butane gas go down, but it’s not such good news for electricity and bus fares, both set to rise.

Natural gas prices to go up

The maximum price of natural gas for the domestic consumer is set to rise by an average of 9.6% on October 12th following the quarterly review by the Ministry of Industry.
