The Sala Mercado in calle San Miguel is hosting an exhibition of the paintings from the XVIII Painting, Poetry and Short Story Competition organised by FLAMPA. The exhibition is open from 11.30 to 13.30 hours and from 19.30 to 21:00 and continues until June 18th 2013.

El Chucho beach in Nerja has just been flattened and tidied up and is looking rather splendid at the moment. The sea was flat calm and one or two people were swimming at Torrecilla beach.
Paintings by Juan Truco
There is an exhibition of paintings by Juan Truco in the Municipal Exhibition Hall in calle Cristo from now until March 2nd. The exhibition is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 17:00 to 20:00 and Sundays from 11:00 to 14:00.
Cave paintings could be oldest in Europe
An analysis of organic remains found near the prehistoric paintings in the Nerja Caves has determined that these artistic representations may be more than 40,000 years old, which would make them the oldest known so far in Europe.
Art exhibition
