The Director General of the police, Ignacio Cosidó, has announced that one of the items included in the reform of the Public Safety Act is a ban on the capture, reproduction or processing of images, sounds or information relating to members of the security forces in the exercise of their duties which may endanger life or risk the operation they are developing.
Piracy is now a crime
The Council of Ministers has approved a new crime under the Penal Code, that of piracy. It does not apply in such cases as the ‘Alakrana’ or any act occurring before the law actually comes into force.
Unlicenced driving
A total of 15 people were arrested in Málaga on the first day of the introduction of the new Penal Code relating to driving without a valid licence.
