Post Office workers have been asked to support a 24-hour strike today, Thursday, and join a protest march in Madrid to protest against the possible loss of 15,000 jobs during the next five years.

It is looking very much like the Post Office is not going to return to all day opening, as previously happened at the end of the summer season, which means this sort of queue is likely to be an almost permanent sight.

Summer is here, the population is increasing so it’s time for some of those quirky decisions we’ve come to love. Well, tolerate. The Post Office, as from today, is now only open from 08:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday and from 08:30 to 13:30 on Saturday.
