The electricity company Endesa has announced that there will be a short power cut on Monday January 14th between 11:00 and 15:00 in calle Málaga, avenida Castilla Perez and calle El Barrio in Nerja.
Unpaid bills leave Jerez municipal facilities in the dark
On Monday, the electricity company Sevillana Endesa cut the power supply to two Council offices and five sports centres in Jerez as a result of unpaid electric bills.
The power cut
According to Sevillana-Endesa, the power cut affected around 4,000 people in Nerja, Frigiliana and Torrox. Other sources put the number affected at up to 10,000, including residents in both Almuñecar and Salobreña. The power failure was caused by the high winds which temporarily damaged one of the high tension pylons.
