A couple of hours before the Virgen del Carmen procession was due to start, the boys in black were out to remove any of the naughties, scooters and cars, left on the streets affected by the procession. There was a long debate on whether or not to tow a car with diplomatic plates.

Today is Palm Sunday – Domingo de Ramos – and after a benediction at Ermita de Ntra. Sra. de las Angustias in Plaza de la Ermita at 11:30, there is a procession down to the iglesia El Salvador on the Balcon de Europa at around 12:00.

Today is the Three Kings procession, starting from the Parque Verano Azul at 17:00 and following the route – calle Jaén, Diputación, Granada, San Miguel, Plaza Cantarero, calle Pintada and on to the Balcón de Europa.
The patron saints make their journey
The patron saints, Nuestra Señora de las Angustias and San Miguel Arcángel, made their traditional journey through the streets last night, albeit on a different day (it is normally the last Sunday in September), at a changed time and via a different route.
