Vélez-Málaga Council has started a project to repaint road markings in the municipality and renew and replace street furniture, rubbish bins and other items. The project has an investment of €184,910.42 and is being funded, naturally, through the Programme for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment (PROFEA).
New road markings
Some of the parking areas in Nerja are currently getting a makeover, not that the colour of the lines seems to make any difference to where people park.
Preparing calle Almirante Carranza
Many streets in Nerja are getting new road markings, including calle Almirante Carranza which is now sporting the new directional and stop signs ready for the permanent change of traffic flow as from Monday. The new direction for the street will be from calle Chaparil to avenida Castilla Perez.
A dab of paint…
