A 17 year old youth was killed and an 18 year old is in a serious condition in the Carlos Haya hospital after their scooter crashed on avenida Rey Juan Carlos I between Torre del Mar and Vélez-Málaga. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

However, I suppose you no longer see the family of five plus dog plus six bags of shopping on a clapped out scooter with no lights heading the wrong way down the street at night. Scooter ITV’s
The mobile ITV (MOT) unit for scooters will be in Nerja on May 20th, 21st and 22nd. The inspections will take place, as usual, on the site of the Sunday Market, near to Avenida de la Constitución. All scooters over three years old must be inspected every two years under the law passed in November 2006.
